BAG & PROP POLICY
Bag Policy

All bags are subject to search by convention or venue security upon entry and re-entry.

This includes backpacks, purses, camera bags, and cosplay prop cases.

Bag checks may occur again if you exit and return.

Clear bags are strongly encouraged for faster entry.
-
Opaque bags are allowed but may require additional screening.
-
Oversized luggage or rolling suitcases are not permitted on the show floor (unless approved for vendors).

Size limits:
-
Personal bags should not exceed 18” x 13” x 7”.
-
Exceptions are made for medical equipment, diaper bags, and authorized media or photography gear.

Prohibited bag contents:
-
Weapons, alcohol, drugs, or illegal substances
-
Outside food and drink (sealed water bottles allowed)
-
Sharp tools or components that could be used as weapons

Cosplay prop storage:
-
Large props or replicas not allowed on the floor should be stored in your vehicle or off-site.

The convention and venue are not responsible for unattended items.

Weapons & Props Policy

No real weapons allowed.
This includes:
-
Firearms (real, replica, or decommissioned)
-
Ammunition or live rounds
-
Tasers, pepper spray, or stun guns
-
Metal or live-steel blades
-
Functional projectile weapons (bows, airsoft, BB, paintball, or slingshots)

Prop inspection and peace-bonding are required.

Visit the Weapons Check Desk near registration before entering the show floor.

Approved props will receive a tag or colored zip tie that must remain attached at all times.

Unchecked or untagged props may be removed or held by staff.
-

Props must be made from safe materials.
-
Foam, rubber, plastic, resin, or cardboard are acceptable.
-
Wooden props are allowed if edges are blunt and pass inspection.
-
Full-metal props or live blades are strictly prohibited.
-

No firing or active effects.
-
Props may not fire any projectiles or produce smoke, flames, lasers, or CO₂ effects.
-
Sound effects are fine if kept at a normal conversation level.

Replica firearms:
-
Must have a bright orange tip or clearly painted muzzle.
-
Triggers must be disabled, and magazines or firing mechanisms removed.

Bows, arrows, and flexible props:
-
Bows must be unstrung or strung loosely with non-tension cord.
-
Arrows must have foam or rubber tips only.
-
Chains, whips, and ropes must be lightweight and soft; no metal or weighted ends.

Venue & Legal Compliance

The arrest convention center and Tulsa Police Department reserve the right to inspect, deny, or confiscate any item deemed unsafe.

Oklahoma law prohibits carrying firearms or other weapons in government or public buildings without authorization (Title 21 §1277, Oklahoma Statutes).

Any violation of these rules may result in removal from the event without refund and possible law enforcement involvement.
Conduct & Enforcement

Never point, swing, or brandish any prop or weapon at another person.
-
Unsafe behavior or refusal to comply with staff instructions will result in immediate removal.

ToonFusion security and venue management have final authority over all prop approvals and enforcement decisions.
Pre-Approval
If you’re unsure whether your prop or costume is allowed, email [email protected] with clear photos and a short description before the event. Our staff will review it and confirm if it meets policy standards.
Final Reminder
We want every cosplayer and fan to enjoy the show safely. Follow staff direction during inspections, keep your props tagged, and respect fellow attendees on the show floor — that’s what makes ToonFusion a great experience for everyone.
